Katannah Sailing honors the memory of Steve Haesche, lifelong sailor and supporter of the sailing community, by enabling access to quality youth sailing experiences. Sailing offers adventure and builds community, allowing kids to unplug from technology and engage with the natural world. On the water there are STEM lessons to be learned and sensory growth to be had, as well as myriad socioemotional benefits. Through the distribution of multi-year sailing camp scholarships and grants to local, community-based sailing organizations we will convey an understanding and love of the sport to a broader audience of children than currently have access.
