The Buffalo Trail Council serves youth and their families throughout the Permian Basin. Over 30,000 sq. miles and 18 counties encompasses our service area. Over 6,000 youth and their families are involved in our various programs. Our outdoor education programs are among the finest in the country. Two facilities house these various programs: Buffalo Trail Scout Ranch (BTSR) and Camp Thomas. We also operate year-round Search and Rescue Teams, conducting missions year-round in West Texas.
