Mukagwa Financial Solutions
Dear friends of Mukagwa Financial Solutions, meet Annette whose husband died as a result of HIV/AIDS. With four children, Annette could not imagine being able to provide her children with basic needs including affording to provide a decent meal to support the ARVs that require having a good balanced diet. To many women Annette was a nobody with no hope of realizing her dream of setting up a small vegetable stand in her community to support her household as a single mother.
However, through a friend Annette got to know about Mukagwa Financial Solutions. She approached us and shared her dream of setting up a vegetable stand with a small loan of $100. We gladly processed the loan and also trained her in basics of business management skills. To date, Annette is a proud single mother now that she is able to financially support her family. Her CD4 count has increased and her hardwork has enabled her business to celebrate its first birthday.
Annette is a representation of many women in my community who are struggling to realize their dreams, although limited by lack of micro finance institutions that offer uncollateralized and cheap small loans to facilitate their dream businesses.
Our vision is to see a community where women have the opportunity to provide for their families and build a fulfilling and rewarding life through establishing small and sustainable businesses.
With your support, Mukagwa Financial Solutions will be able to reach out to many of these women to help them start small businesses with our small loans, build assets and transform their lives and that of their children. Kindly join us as we take the initiative to give hope, touch and change lives of many poor women in Jinja.
Isiko Titus Founder
Dear friends of Mukagwa Financial Solutions, I am Isiko Titus from Uganda. Growing up as an orphan has inspired me to continue working with the underprivileged people, especially women, in my community to fight poverty. In my community, most women cannot afford expensive loans from the formal micro finance institutions. Indeed they are classified as those who do not have tangible security such as land titles or buildings as required from the formal micro finance institutions to access loans. Most of them, unlike men, discuss how painful it is to send their children to school each day with only one meal in their bellies and no shoes on their feet.
My vision is to see a community where women have the opportunity to provide for their families and build a fulfilling and rewarding life through establishing small and sustainable businesses.
With your donation we will be able to provide small loans to these women to start or boost their small businesses, build assets which will transform their lives and that of their children.
Entrepreneurs and Projects
Naome's sewing machine was burnt to ashes after fire gutted their make shift houses in Njeru. Her business and dream had been shuttered by the horrible fire. However, she approached Mukagwa Financial Solutions for a small loan of $136 to facilitate the procurement of a new sewing machine which we approved. She was so happy that we considered to work with her without asking for collateral against her loan. We are so honored as Mukagwa Financial Solutions to work with women like Noemi who definitely are not candidates of the formal micro finance institutions.
Akello Rosemary loves so much listening to gospel music. She is such a strong believer! Her life has changed by the small loan of $100 she received from Mukagwa Financial Solutions to start her small business dealing in Silver fish. She can now afford to buy food for her children and also to pay for rent.
Harriett is a very hard working woman who has benefited from our small loans. With her small business, she can ably support her family's basic needs. We are able to impact many of these women like Harriet because of your generosity and spiritual support.
