Abigail Smith

Hi! My name is Abby Smith and I am currently a student at YWAM Battambang in Cambodia!

Right now I am doing a nine month school of Biblical studies (SBS) to be on my way into full time ministry. The goal of SBS is to teach students how to inductively study the Bible using historical background to understand the Bible in context. During SBS students are taught to see the big picture of the Bible while going deep verse by verse.

YWAM (Youth With A Mission) is a missions organization dedicated to discipling believers and fulfilling the great commission. Their mission statement is "Know God and make God known". YWAM Battambang is passionate about raising up leaders to share the gospel in Cambodia, South-East Asia and the world. Missionaries with YWAM Battambang reach out to their community through soccer ministries, children sponsorship programs and an on base English school. I plan on becoming a full time missionary with YWAM after completing SBS!

My ultimate goal is to work with unreached people groups in South-East Asia. Unreached people are those who do not have access to the gospel and have never heard the name of Jesus. They are living without knowing the truth of the gospel and God has stirred my heart to serve these people. I am so grateful that I grew up hearing about Jesus and His love for me. Jesus saved my life and radically transformed me from the person I once was. I now desire to follow the call God has given me to share Jesus with those who have never had the chance to hear of His mercy, love, and kindness!
