Cooper Gerum

My name is Cooper Gerum, and I am a Full-Time missionary with YWAM (Youth With A Mission)!

I am currently based in Potchefstroom, South Africa, serving with the YWAM Fire and Fragrance (FFSA) community! As a pioneering, evangelistic, and apostolic missions base, we are focused on seeing the lost saved and the body of Christ built up, trained, and sent out for the gospel. As a community, we are passionate about seeing leaders, young and old, equipped to serve in every area of society and are dedicated to the pursuit of God's dream for the nations of the Earth. We desire every heart to "Know God and make Him known"!

I am originally from Huntington Beach, California, and I did my Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Kona, Hawaii. During this time, my heart was stirred and marked for missions and the nations. A part of what God has spoken for me to pursue is: to train, equip, and build up strong and healthy leaders, who will have a deep relationship with Jesus so that they can train future leaders. This is all unto fulfilling the commission in Matthew 28:19-20... to make disciples of ALL nations. On a more "zoomed in" scale, worship ministry is the focus. To help create teams who will GO to the nations, serving local churches through teaching, worship, intercession and catalyzation in missions. I believe that spiritual awakening, revival, and reformation will arise in every corner of the globe -- and it will take the unity of the church, the body of Christ, to see this mission fulfilled.

I have the immense privilege to work with our prayer room ministry (worship, songwriting, and intercession), bible distribution, evangelism, discipleship, and leadership development in our local community and YWAM schools! It is an honor to partner with God's heart for every people, tribe, nation, and language. I am so very expectant for what God will do in the years to come!
