Hi friends!

My name is Olivia and I will be attending the School of Biblical Studies (SBS) in September at YWAM Muizenberg. SBS is a 9-month school where I will be reading all 66 books of the Bible a total of 5 times using the inductive approach as well as engaging in local ministry throughout the week. The schedule is 6-days a week full of classes, work duties, and outreach. I know that it will be a challenge, but I am so excited for where the stretching takes me as I fall deeper in love with Jesus through His Word and through serving the people of Muizenberg.

I did my first Discipleship Training School (DTS) in Kona, Hawaii 4 years ago, where my heart for missions stirred. My life was completely transformed by the love of Jesus, and I longed to also see His people to be met with His love. While I was there, my knowledge and hunger for the Bible grew, and I felt led to study the Word in a deeper way. It was there that I learned of a secondary school called School of Biblical Studies (SBS). It both scared me (it's intense and time consuming) and intrigued me. I saw staff that had gone through this school and their knowledge of the Word of God provoked me. After taking time to seek the Lord and asking him what my next steps were, I knew that one day I wanted to do an SBS.

Since then, I have graduated from college, yet almost 4 years later, my plans to do an SBS have not changed. While most of my peers are entering the workforce, God's guidance has brought me into this next step of faith. I am not only growing in faith while participating in the school, but I am also taking a step of faith financially. As SBS is a big step of obedience, I know that the tools I will learn during this school will be very beneficial and will influence teaching, evangelism, and discipleship in the nations.

I am currently working to save up for joining YWAM again, but I know I cannot do it alone. In total, I need to raise around $8,000 for 3 quarters of school fees, plus airfare by September 22, 2022. I am also seeking prayer partners to pray for safe travels, strength and endurance during my time there, and for Holy Spirit's guidance as we evangelize and engage in ministry.
