MCL/CHESTY PULLER STATUE FUND

The Marine Corps League has embraced an exceptional opportunity to honor Lieutenant General Lewis B. "Chesty" Puller, USMC (Ret), truly one of the legendary figures in the storied history of our Corps, by sponsoring a statue of his likeness to be placed prominently within Semper Fidelis Memorial Park, overlooking the National Museum of the Marine Corps.

The placement of this statue represents the culmination of several months of planning and coordination with the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation. The Park's landscaped acreage is dedicated to remembering and reflecting upon those who have gone before.

As an organization, the Marine Corps League will also accrue other significant and perpetual recognition benefits in the agreement to sponsor the Chesty Puller Statue. Recognition plaques designating the Marine Corps League as the sponsor will be mounted on the sides of the pedestal base of the statue, and the Marine Corps League name will also be permanently engraved within the Commandant's Circle, the prestigious donor recognition space located within the Leatherneck Gallery of the National Museum.

With this timely partnership with the Marine Corps Heritage Foundation, Marine Corps Legue members now have a lasting way to not only honor one of the greatest leaders of our Corps, Chesty Puller, but also contribute to the sustainment of the overall excellence of this national treasure.
