YWAM Oita is a presence-centered missional community in southern Japan that longs to see the wells of revival re-dug in the location of what was one of Japan's most vibrant Christian communities before the great persecution.
We share the gospel and disciple out of the place of abiding in a love relationship with Jesus. We run a bi-weekly street outreach and a bi-weekly worship event in the city-center in order to create a platform for people to come and meet God. We are pioneering a bilingual school, workshops that facilitate heart-healing through the arts, and a creatives network for artists to collaborate and present God's light to Japan.
We are passionate about table fellowship, Sabbath, celebration, the arts, education, and inner wholeness.
We love Japan and its people, and feel so privileged to be here to love our neighbors and our region with the love of Jesus.
We are a small but growing pioneering team and have several initial start-up costs that are currently not covered that will greatly enhance our ministry. This would include an outreach and worship budget that will help us frequently rent a small auditorium in the city's community center, and to buy art supplies, a cajon drum, and Bibles. This also includes a creatives budget that will help us host our next creatives collaborative event to present God's beauty, love, light and truth through the arts. We also need seed money in order to start a Christian school that will give the children of our region the unique opportunity to freely express themselves, learn that they are valuable and have a purpose, and to discover God and His world.
We invite you to partner with God's dream for Japan!
